New computer, log in & sign on problems?

I have a new computer, having transferred my files and settings I can't log in or sign on to certain sites, yahoo for instance my new computer will not connect to the sign in page, my Mcafee sign on page the same problem yet when I sign in on say ebay or others it works OK, CAN ANYONE HELP PLEASE, thanks in anticipation - Stephen
