Radio isotope scanning using recombinant TSH?

I am scheduled for the above procedure next week. On monday and tuesday i am receiving TSH injections, then on wednesday i am getting my bloods checked for thyroglubin and receiving a capsule from the radiology department. On both thursday and friday i am scheduled for 45min scans. What do these scans do? I'm a thyroid cancer patient and had a total thyroidectomy and partial neck dissection in may of this year. The hospital has not specified the purpose of these procedures and I cant find much on them on the internet. Any help appreciated:)
