We bought an old house, was built around 1920's..?

The problem is that we have a propane heating system and are spending more that $200 every 3 weeks and we dont keep our heat high at all we have had our tank replaced but still same problem, does anyone have the same problem, i just wanna know if its normal for an old house or not. And any suggestions as to what might be the problem.....Thanks.
